In this gallery, we’ve set aside some room for images from our 2014 Atlantic crossing aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Star. Here we expect to post images from our days at sea as well as shots we’ll make as we tour through various cities from Ponta Delgado in the Azores, to Dover, England, and many stops along the Baltic Sea.
We hope to post these images as we make them, so check back often.
At Sea 19 Photos These images are being made daily as we cruise across the Atlantic Ocean aboard the Norwegian Star. We'll post them as we get them, so even if you've seen this gallery already, check back because we'll be posting new images as we cruise along.
Ponta Delgada 16 Photos Spending a day in the Azores can bring mixed results. Much of what they have to offer is because of the large amount of rain, and of course, if you only have a day, or a few hours, it's likely to be raining. We made these drizzly images from the island of Sao Miguel, near the city of Ponta Delgado.
Canterbury 27 Photos Images from Dover, Canterbury Cathedral, the City of Canterbury and the White Cliffs of Dover.
Helsingborg and Helsingor 15 Photos The twin cities of Helsingborg Sweden and Helsingor, Denmark are rich in history. This area forms an area only two miles wide and serves as a natural gateway to the Baltic Sea.
Copenhagen 11 Photos A drive around the city of Copenhagen
Germany 437 Photos We've made one stop in Germany from a cruise ship, and one extended vacation road trip in Germany, and we can't get enough. The last trip, our days were spent visiting castles and enjoying the country side. We plan more trips to this friendly country.
Tallinn, Estonia 20 Photos The city of
tallinn in Estonia was a real surprise for us. Expecting to see a simply, grey, ex-communist country, we couldn't have been more wrong. Finding a vibrant old town dating back to medieval times, including the oldest known pharmacy in the world, this town was immediately placed on our "to return to" list.
Helsinki Finland 16 Photos Clean and friendly city. Our brief visit told us that a return to Finland was in our near future.
Stockholm, Sweden 17 Photos One of the highlights of this cruise was the approach into Stockholm, Sweden. The ship navigated through literally miles of islands and channels passing countless homes, villages, and small harbors. It was worth the upgraded price of a room with a balcony just to be able to stand outside and watch this landscape go by.
