Kodachrome Basin is a great side trip from either Bryce Canyon National Park or Capital Reef National Park. The name Kodachrome Basin was originally used by a team from National Geographic who were in the area for a story on the landscape. The name stuck and became the original reference when it was designated a Utah State Park.
