Last week we made a quick five day Caribbean cruise on the Princess’s “Caribbean Princess”. We left Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, November 29th and sailed to Nassau in the Bahamas. From there we made a stop at Princess Cays located about fifty miles east of Nassau, then back to Fort Lauderdale. There were two “at sea” days on this cruise.<\/p>\n

This was our first cruise with Princess Lines, and it’s a pretty good bet that it won’t be our last. Everything seemed to be a good fit for our preferences in cruising, from the exceptionally good food to even the choices in music being played around the ship. The coffee could have been a little better, but that’s not unusual aboard a cruise ship. We carry Starbuck’s Via Coffee packets with us wherever we go, so we can always enjoy a good cup of coffee if we want.<\/p>\n

This cruise was a last minute arrangement for us. One of the advantages to living in central Florida is that you can watch the last minute deals from the cruise lines and take advantage of them when they come up. Being within easy driving distance to the major ports for the Caribbean and the Atlantic, we can get to them without having to integrate an airline expense into the cruise deal.<\/p>\n
